The Oils I Keep Coming Back To: Rosehip, Jojoba, Tea Tree, and Castor Oil

There's a moment in skincare when you come face to face with facial oil and just – hesitate. Something about it feels wrong. Like you're about to make a mistake. Clogged pores, greasy shine, a breakout you'll be explaining to yourself for weeks. I felt that way for years. If your skin is already sensitive, already exhausted from trying things that didn't work, the phrase put oil on your face sounds less like advice and more like a dare. And then I did it anyway. Slowly, the way I do everything that matters. And after years of actually paying attention to how my skin responded – not to what the packaging promised, but to what my face actually did – I kept returning to the same four. This isn't an argument that oil is the answer. It's more like notes from someone who...

About

Hi, I’m Sky.

For a long time, I was the person who kept everything running and took care of exactly none of herself. Work, motherhood, survival — in that order, on repeat. Things like skincare, a real kitchen setup, and anything that required stopping long enough to notice what I actually wanted — those waited.

They waited a long time.

Sky Finds is what happened when I finally started paying attention. Not a transformation story. More like this: I started noticing things. Products that actually worked. Kitchen tools I bought on a whim that turned out to be the ones I reach for every day. Small, specific things that made ordinary life a little better than it was before.

Everything here comes from real use — things I bought myself, tested, kept, returned, and occasionally regretted. I’m not a dermatologist or beauty expert, just someone learning carefully, honestly, and slowly. No agenda beyond this: something helped me, and it might help you too.

If you’re someone who’s been too busy taking care of everything else to take care of yourself, this is for you. We’re figuring it out late, slowly, and together.

Welcome.
